#BlossomAndBerry Monday- Meet Our Team

Hello Everyone,

It’s that time of the week again, it is #BlossomAndBerryMonday. Today we have an extra special blog for you, an intro to a wonderful lady, a story that has made it’s way to you from the other side of the world in Mexico. It is with great pleasure that we present you to Denisse Boissonneault Zamudio.

Denisse is one of our instructors working for Blossom & Berry in Mexico, not only that but she is a teacher at Red Down México. This organization sees awareness raised about babies with Down Syndrome and helping parents bond and grow with their little ones.

“Red Down Mexico is a – Group of doctors, psychologists, educators and therapists who share an interest in providing care to people with Down syndrome and their families”.

Denisse Has a really inspiring story, here is what she had to say about her training with Blossom & Berry and her plans:

“My name is Denisse Boissonneault Zamudio. I am a psychologist specialized in family therapy. At the beginning of 2015 some friends and I cofounded Red Down México. The main objective is to give quality attention to people with Down syndrome and their families. In my experience, most of the parents find very difficult to cope with this diagnosis and sometimes they don´t know what to do with their new baby. One amazing experience I had was when Gayle Berry and Sandra Fernández from Blossom & Berry, came to México in October 2015 to give their first course in Massage Training and as a part of their journey, they contacted Red Down México to give free massage classes to parents and their babies with Down syndrome. It was beautiful to have witnessed how all these committed parents were spending a priceless time with their babies and this babies were receiving lots of love from their parents. In that moment I realized the great importance of baby massage especially in the population with a disability, in order to reinforce the bond between the parents and their babies. Fortunately for me, I was offered a scholarship to take the second course in Massage Training on March 2016. After I finished the course I had my fist group of parents in a public hospital in México City. There were 5 families with their babies with Down syndrome. I felt so lucky to be a facilitator for these parents to help them find their great capacity to transmit their love to their babies throw-out their bare hands.”

How wonderful is that? Another example of the extreme power and love that is present in Baby Massage and Yoga. We hope this encourages you to JOIN US, become an instructor and use the techniques not only in your own family but with others, to encourage love between parents and children.
