Hello, my name is Natalie. I live in Aston, Oxfordshire, with my husband and 2 children, who are now 10 and 12.
I have been working with babies and parents for the best part of 20 years, I have worked in many nurseries, nannying jobs and I ran my own childminding business with my Mum while bringing up my own children.
When I was in hospital having my own children, I could see the real lack of support the mums, including myself, got, which sparked a real urge in me to start working with women post birth.
I qualified and started as a Maternity Care Assistant on the postnatal wards, where I loved being hands-on on looking after both the mum and the baby.
It was a natural progression to get a promotion and work on SCBU with the premature babies, where I currently still work and love empowering the parents to bond and enjoy their baby.
I really wanted to start building on my passion for supporting parents in the hospital by helping them feel confident and encouraging them to build on bonding with their little ones more by extending it out into the community. I wanted to offer a holistic, safe, community hub for families but also include all my qualifications.
This is when I found Blossom and Berry. I got very excited when I saw what Gayle had to offer.
I qualified in baby massage and started offering baby massage groups in my local community to bring women together whilst learning and having special 1:2:1 time with their babies, I felt this was really lacking in my community. I have now been running for a year and have welcomed 6 groups of mums and babies along the way, teaching them love, massage and much, much more.
