My Journey with the Village Visionary Programme: How Violet and Rose Baby Wellness Was Born
Hi, I’m Jodi, a mother of 4 and my journey into the world of baby wellness began during my maternity leave with my 4th baby.
Like many new mums, I found myself feeling a little lost, searching for a sense of purpose beyond the daily demands of motherhood. One thing that stood out to me was the lack of parent-and-baby classes in my local area. I craved a supportive space where parents could come together, connect and enjoy special moments with their little ones.
I have always loved being outdoors and I truly believe in the incredible benefits of nature for both babies and parents. That’s what led me to the Tree Babies course at Blossom & Berry. This course deepened my understanding of the importance of outdoor connection and mindfulness, reinforcing my passion for creating nurturing environments for parents and babies.
Discovering the Village Visionary Programme
As I delved deeper into the world of baby wellness, I came across the Village Visionary Programme, a course designed to empower individuals like me to build supportive, community-driven spaces for parents and babies. This was exactly what I needed! I wanted to create something meaningful, a place where parents didn’t feel alone, where they could bond with their babies while forming real, lasting connections with others.
Through this programme, Violet and Rose Baby Wellness was born. The name holds deep personal meaning for me, it represents the middle names of both my daughters, a beautiful tribute to my own journey as a mother. It also symbolises warmth, love and the natural beauty of parenthood, elements that I want every family to experience when they come to my classes.
My mission is simple:
- To create safe and welcoming spaces for parents and babies.
- To build a sense of community in my local area, where support for parents is lacking.
- To help parents bond with their babies through baby massage and outdoor classes.
- To encourage mindfulness and relaxation during what can often feel like an overwhelming stage of life.
Finding Purpose & Leaving My Nursing Role
The Village Visionary Programme has been truly life-changing for me. Not only has it given me the knowledge and confidence to run my own business but it has also helped me discover my true passion, supporting mums and babies. So much so that I made the big decision to leave my nursing role and fully dedicate myself to this journey. It wasn’t an easy decision but I knew in my heart that this was the right path for me.
Now, every day, I get to witness the beautiful connections forming between parents and their babies. I see mums and dads growing in confidence, finding their village and feeling less alone. It’s the most rewarding feeling and I am so grateful to be able to do this work.
Looking Ahead
My journey with Violet and Rose Baby Wellness is just beginning and I can’t wait to continue growing and expanding my offerings. I want to reach as many parents as possible, ensuring they feel supported and empowered in their parenting journey.
