Baby Massage and Calming Consultant Course-Maternity Nurses, Nannies, Health Professionals & One to One Teachers.
This course is unique to Blossom & Berry and aims to support maternity nurses and nannies in a key primary carer role with babies and individuals wishing to teach parents on a one to one basis rather than in a group setting.
The course covers all the elements of our long established baby massage training course but does not cover faciliating groups and therefore is more suitable for health professionals and individuals wishing to teach parents individually in a clinic setting or in parents’ homes. This course does not qualify you to become a baby massage therapist who is able to massage babies as a profession. Blossom & Berry supports teaching of primary carers either on a one to one basis, in a group or as part of a wider role as a primary carer as a nanny or maternity nurse.
The course covers a safe and well established baby massage routine suitable for babies from birth to active crawling and looks at techniques for helping to relieve colic and other digestive issues.
Maternity nurses and nannies in key carer roles may also be able to use the massage techniques with babies in their care provided that this is covered by their professional practice as part of routine baby care. If you are an organisation with many maternity nurses working with you, we can offer group training for this course in-house.

This course will enable you to teach baby massage to individuals on a one to one basis. It is a fully comprehensive course which covers all aspects of baby massage.

Our course materials also include recordings of mini lectures on subjects covered on the course. We also include footage of real classes as well as films of the whole massage routine.
Entry requirements
A basic knowledge of human biology (GCSE/O level preferred but not essential.
An interest in supporting and working with parents and babies.
An understanding of the benefits of massage.
A good command of the language in which you will be teaching and excellent communication skills.
A positive and motivated attitude to study and business.
Accreditation
We are accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists for all our in person and group training on baby massage and baby yoga and all our courses are recognised by Westminster Indemnity Insurance. All courses are also accredited by Blossom & Berry. Training is of a very high standard. Gayle Berry has written and designed all course materials and has a PGCE in Teaching and Delivering Learning to the adult education sector.Gayle has ten years experience as a teacher and is also the author of a successful book “Baby Massage-Expert know-how at your fingertips”. She has worked on numerous media projects in the field.
Timescales for study
Most students complete the diploma within four months and can begin professional practice.
