For #InternationalBabyMassageAwarenessWeek we ran a competition that gave one lucky person the chance of winning a full Baby Massage Instructor course worth £375 for absolutely free. We had such an overwhelmingly great response with people sharing on Facebook, Tweeting us on Twitter and regramming us on Instagram. After a random selection, we landed on the lovely Eleanor as the winner and we are mighty glad of it.
It turns out that Eleanor has an amazing story and many wonderful reasons why becoming an instructor is so deeply important to her. For that, we know that this lady has a very promising future ahead, taking the skill we will teach her and turning her passion into her dream career.
Let see what she had to say: “I first became interested in baby massage in 2013 when my first son was born. Zachariah suffered from reflux and I was suffering the effects of postnatal depression. My health visitor referred me to an NHS run baby massage course as she felt that it might help us both. I could not believe the difference that the baby massage made to both of us. I was finally able to relieve the symptoms of colic and reflux for my baby and found that if I started to feel anxious or upset if I massaged Zachariah suddenly I was calm and relaxed. The power of touch and oxytocin really is amazing. I started to rave about the benefits of baby massage to quickly realised the lack of resources in the NHS and how limited the spaces were for baby massage and really wanted to change this. When I fell pregnant with my second child I decided I wanted a career change. I wanted to help parents adjust into parenthood and teach the benefits of massage for both baby and carer. I researched companies high and low and found Blossom and Berry. I knew straight away that this was the company for me. It was obvious that Gayle was passionate about helping families. It is so clear that this is much more than a business with her free online guides and live Facebook videos helping so many people. This is the sort of caring nature that I wanted to show in my own new adventure. I am so excited to finally have the opportunity to train in baby massage with what I believe is the best tuition in the field. I am thrilled to be embarking on setting up my new business and can’t wait to take up more training in baby yoga and the other courses as I grow and develop my new business. I can not thank Gayle and all the staff at Blossom and Berry enough for their generosity and promise I will not let them down. ”
