I am one proud mama! On Saturday 23rd June 2018 I was delighted to attend the M Power Mums in business gala awards celebrating mums in the early stage of business. I was so happy to be supporting 7 of my students and teachers who had been nominated for awards and were finalists in completely different categories. This was an incredible achievement for each and every one.
The night was a brilliant affair and we all got dressed up and ready to dance the night away. I was very happy to be representing Love Support Unite, my charity in Malawi as we were a beneficiary of the night. I got a chance to share the work we do in Malawi to empower women, just as Nicola Huelin and Mpower is also doing across the world with mums in business with coaching, training and support groups.
Blossom & Berry teachers won so many awards!!
Corinna Nicol from Relax and Sing Wakefield won the first award as highly commended “Cheerleader” and we all completely cheered her and went a bit crazy!! This set the tone for the evening for sure! We were definitely the noisy table at the back. Corinna trained with another provider but has taken CPD courses with us to extend her practice.
Our very own Spanish Teacher Trainer and owner of Kin to Skin, Sandy came highly commended in the vision award. Sandy works so hard that this was completely deserved.
Susan Yeates from Susan’s world of yoga then won the overall winner in this category. Susan is an amazing kind and generous teacher and there were alot of hugs!
Becky Palmer and Emma O Brien were also finalists and superstars. Mile Seb Jurasz-Cruz our latest bursary student also came highly commended in the Community category. They are all superstars.
Why do I love my job so much? Because I get to support incredible women just like these and so many more. I am so proud of all my teachers and this was an amazing night for Blossom & Berry.
