10 things to know about baby yoga instructor training

10 things you need to know about baby yoga instructor training and baby yoga instructor courses

I have been training people to become baby yoga instructors for over 15 years and I am Channel Mum’s Baby Yoga Expert. Here is the low down on baby yoga instructor training and baby yoga instructor training courses in ten quick points!

1.Baby yoga is its own discipline. It lends from the philosophy of yoga, but is often combined with other aspects such as developmental play, music, and movement.

2. Baby yoga primarily focuses on the baby and not the parent and carer. If you are looking for more movements and yoga poses for parents, you you might want to consider a postnatal yoga course.

3. Baby yoga at Blossom & Berry includes the aspects of the eight limbs of yoga philosophy so that it is true to the word “yoga” which means union and is about a journey to enlightenment. These include the yamas and the niyamas, which look at how to live your life and how to treat other people, pranayama which is breath work, asanas, which are the physical poses and meditation.

4. Baby yoga was introduced into the UK by Birth light, where I originally trained over 17 years ago.

5. Baby yoga is all about helping to bring more movement and coordination into baby’s lives. In today’s society, babies have very static lives. When we carried our babies more in slings and wraps,  they received stimulation and physical touch that helped to develop the proprioceptive and the vestibular system aiding body awareness and balance. Today we rely on car seats and prams, so baby yoga helps to put movement back into baby’s day

6. Baby yoga is good for helping with conditions such as colic and constipation as it supports the digestive system.

7. Baby yoga training allows you to set up your own family-friendly business that can help to support your family and support other families.

8. Baby yoga at Blossom & Berry is all about creative expression. We give you the foundations for your classes with teaching plans, ideas for special sessions, lots of different resources to empower you, but you have the creative freedom to create whatever you desire.

9. Baby yoga is more and more popular as the wellness industry continues to grow year after year.

10. Baby yoga often encourages parents and carers to look at adult yoga, which is fantastic for health and healing, and leads to yoga practice as a family.

At Blossom & Berry we have been training teachers for over 20 years and we offer you;
